About Melinda

Melinda joined RTF in January 2020 as our Office Manager with part-time “mother’s hours”. Since than her role expanded, she began working full-time hours and we realized how valuable she is, Melinda is now our Director of Finance and Operations. She is responsible for all of our accounting functions, from accounts payable and accounts receivable to payroll and all general ledger transactions.  She has even begun quoting small part orders.  When you call our office Melinda is usually the first voice you hear.  She is always willing to assist our customers with their needs to provide the utmost professional customer service RT Forbes strives to provide. 

Melinda was with RTF for less than three months before the COVID pandemic and when there was a state mandate to shut down offices.  Without missing a beat, she put into place procedures for our company and its employees to be streamlined and be able to work safely from home and continue to provide sales and service to our customers in New England. 

Melinda graduated from Bentley University in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in Accountancy and has over 20 years of experience in wearing multiple hats within the accounting, finance and human resources fields, along with sales.  She has worked in both the public and private accounting sectors, most recently as the Controller of a large building materials company in Boston, which she was able to assist them through a M&A to become part of a much larger, national, publicly traded company.  

Outside of the office, you can probably find Melinda at an ice rink, supporting her son and his love of being a hockey goalie.  Melinda loves spending time with her husband and their friends and family and when she can find the time, she enjoys scrapbooking.
