Robie Maclaughlin

Robie joined RT Forbes in May of 2023 after being introduced to CEO Stephanie Scogland through a mutual friend and learning about the company, both its rich history, and her positive vision for the future. Robie brings a wealth of experience to RT Forbes from the military, and the engineering, construction, telecommunications, and manufacturing industries.

Robie began his career after graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a degree in Civil Engineering and having played on the Ice Hockey team as a cadet. He was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and served overseas in Germany and Bosnia with the 1st Infantry Division, and later in the Massachusetts National Guard, attaining the rank of Captain. Upon leaving the military, Robie began a long career with Verizon serving in myriad roles in Project Management and Operations Management, and leading large teams of construction, installation & maintenance, and network operations technicians. During his time at Verizon, Robie also earned a Master’s in Business Administration from Boston College and a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University. Robie then entered the manufacturing industry while serving as the General Manager of an equipment manufacturer in the food processing industry, and later as the Director of US Operations and Project Engineering for a Museum Display Case company.  

Robie continues to play hockey in the “beer leagues” and enjoys golf, racquet sports, fishing and spending quality time with his family and friends.
